Hi! I’m Simon Wu. I’m a computer science (and maybe math?) student at the University of Waterloo. Sometimes I write, and sometimes I build.

Currently, I’m studying math and computer science and trying to be healthier.

In the past:

• I represented Team Canada twice at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (2021, 2022)
• I’ve interned at Invision AI (F24), and at Huawei in the Distributed Data Storage and Management Lab (S23) and Data and Privacy Protection Lab (W24)
• I’ve attended SPARC in 2022 and ASPR in 2024
• I briefly ran the University of Waterloo Effective Altruism Club, and received a grant through Open Philanthropy’s University Organizer Fellowship
